There are around 10.7 million Greek speakers in the world. Greece has by far the most Greek speakers of any country in the world. While Greek speakers are highly concentrated in one region of the world, the language’s historic role and vibrant modern culture makes it a useful language to learn.

Italian is an incredibly beautiful and intricate language and is renowned as the language of love, the language of history and art and the language of food and culture. Around 130 million people consider German their native or second language and in 2015, it was estimated that 14.5 million people were learning German worldwide. Many consider German to be a difficult language to learn, which is true to some extent. However it is an extremely rewarding language to learn, especially if you like grammar rules and spotting patterns in language.

Russia is a top travel and sports destination, and Russian is the most spoken language in Europe. It’s also a popular second language for much of Eastern Europe because of Russia’s lasting political influence.
