Beckie, teaches French, German and Spanish

I grew up in Carleton, Lancashire and loved languages at school. At A Level I studied French, German and Spanish and then studied all three again for my degree at Durham University. As part of my degree I spent a year working abroad; for a translation company in Berlin and Paramount Pictures in Paris. Once I finished my degree I trained to become a languages teacher which I did for five years in secondary schools in London and the North West. My dream had always been to own my own language school so when I was 27 I decided it was now or never and set up Fylde Foreign Language Centre. I offered group and private classes in French, German and Spanish and eventually I needed help from other tutors to accommodate the amount of students who wanted lessons. We then began to offer a more diverse range of languages such as Italian, Greek, Russian and many more. I am very proud of the community feel of our language school and am excited to see how it grows and evolves now that we are changing our name to The Language School and becoming more of an online language school.
